Spreading PC-CARE to Oregon One Person at a Time
PC-CARE Oregon was created by Sara Guthrie, LPC to bring more awareness and training opportunities for PC-CARE.

PC-CARE is a dyadic therapy program that is 6 sessions long. It was created by UC Davis to address attrition concerns that Parent-Child Interaction Therapy and the need for a brief treatment option for resource parents. It is for children 1-10 years old and can be used with a variety of caregivers (parents, grandparents, resource parents, kinship placements, etc.). PC-CARE is also able to be provided by mental health clinicians as treatment or as prevention by paraprofessionals.
The Story
Sara Guthrie LPC, PC-CARE Trainer, was trained in PC-CARE when it was first offered at a conference at UC Davis. She has been certified in PC-CARE for several years and most recently has become certified as a trainer.
